Battling an invader

I let my landlord work on my laptop hoping he could fix my connection to the internet. I don't know which protections he switched off or what he did, but I started getting this annoying popup saying my computer was infected and I needed to buy a specific fix called Antivir. At first I worried but it turns out that Antivir Solution is a notorious bad actor. It wouldn't let me use Java and it wouldn't even let me play Spider Solitaire. It has to be killed! It took me nearly five hours to get the frakking thing off my laptop.
