My favorite astronomical factoid for New Year's involves Sirius, the brightest apparent star in the night sky. On New Year's Eve, it reaches its highest point at midnight. I just love that. Mars and the Moon put on a pretty show on Christmas Eve, but that's a nonrepeating event.

I put the computer down for a few days trying to catch up with real life. I see there's much to read, much to see and much to catch up with with you all.

Here's hoping 2008 brings you all good things!

Been watching more of my second season Sentinel tapes and noticed something really odd. Paramount misspelled Garett's name on half of the labels. He really gets no respect ::pouts::

And for my last spam of the day, this is from The Sun (British) newspaper. This will give you a laugh.

"He kicks off with his Everett-style (gigantic) hands and brings his Tornado out while dancing to the song YMCA, doing all the actions and fitting in the correct marshal signals at the same time.

After another song he performs a series of backflips and break-dancing moves with the Tornado wingtip passing just over his head.

He next entices a Tornado out of its slot to the backing of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

And finally, dressed like one of the runners in the 118 TV ads, he warms his hands on the exhaust of a passing fighter."

And now I must be serious. I are serious cat.
