"I'm writ out"
Oct. 29th, 2007 03:53 pmI haven't posted much. Work is requiring a great deal of writing from me so I've used up all my words by 5 pm. :)
I read A Play of Lords by Margaret Frazier this weekend. It's a historical novel, set in England before the War of the Roses. I love the glimpses it gives into a player's life. She also researches the heck out of her books, so I like the historical tidbits. Plus last time I was in England I was down by the Southwark Cathedral and went for a boatride on the Thames, so I had some nice mental visuals.
I also read Grave Surprise by Charlaine Harris. She has a real knack for writing damaged yet still strong women.
Saturday was Fatima Day, the day the cleaning lady comes. The house smells and looks all clean and shiny. I did three loads of laundry and got a haircut so I am clean and shiny too.
Cooking? Misanthrope posted a recipe for cornbread that has made its way into my repertoire on a fairly regular basis.
( lovely nice cornbread )
Liked NUMB3RS and SGA this week. I love that Wil Patton's character came back. He's so tough. And it was JFlan's week for a character-centric episode, so how bad could that be? Ronon's had his, Teyla's will probably be her giving birth or related to it. Maybe Rodney will blow up another solar system.
