At last, the first fresh sweet corn of the season! Picked that morning. I ate it as soon as I got home and it was scrumptious. We also got lots of tomatoes, more garlic and basil, some tomatillos, and sweet and hot peppers.

I should write more about the recipes I use. Like for the eggplant. I'm not a big fan of eggplant. Baked was yucky, the baba ghanouj turned out nicely, but best of all was chopping it up and using it in stirfry. With the corn, I debated roasting it in the husk, but settled for husking and boiling. Yummy!
So tell me - when you make stirfry, what's your secret ingredient? Your favorite spice? The veggie you can't live without?
