Final Theory by Mark Alpert. It's a nice scientific thriller where the Macguffin is a theory by Einstein with the potential to be the Grand Unifying Theory. I liked it enough to read his second book The Omega Theory, where the Final Theory is used to create a weapon. I learned a lot about the theory that the universe is a giant computer program and we're all information caches. Now I feel bad about clearing my computer cache

25 Big Ideas by Robert Matthews. Short essays covering topics from Small World Theory to Bayes Theorem to The Theory of Everything. Very well written, with timelines and glossaries for each Big Idea.

Kisser by Stuart Woods. Fluff of the week.Somebody stop me from reading any more of his books. Junk food.
