Cherry Blossom Season Is Here!

 We had some very warm weather right around the equinox and ended up with the earliest cherry blossom peak in 30 years. Then the weather took a nose dive and we've been back in the 30s and 40s all week. I went out one evening to see the blooms but it's been too chilly for me to do the Tidal Basin walk.

 

I have 8 books on my TBR pile. I just finished Susan Wittig Albert's A Wilder Rose. Nice novel about the Little House books. It makes a pretty good argument that Rose helped her mother Laura Ingalls Wilder write the books. I also finished John Scalzi's Kaiju Preservation Society. It's a fun fast read about traveling to an alternate earth where the Japanese movie monsters came from. I'm still struggling to finish Adam Schiff's Midnight in Washington, mostly because the politics enrages me.

Today was a "clean all the things" day. The complex is resuming the semi-annual inspection process. I polished everything up and have a list of some needed repairs to share. 

So Jodie Whittaker is winding up her time as The Doctor. I've read some totally nuts rumors about her replacement, one featuring Hugh Grant! Can't picture it.
