Happy Easter and Joyous Pesach
Apr. 1st, 2018 11:30 amRabbit, Rabbit!
To my friends celebrating either holiday. I'm heading out shortly to have brunch with my siblings. I have candy necklaces and bracelets for my grandniece. I used to love those.
I was looking at my TBR pile of books and realized something strange. Three of them feature dead people. Ironic for Easter? Totally accidental. I finished reading Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire. Vampires and not for the faint of heart. Now I'm reading Dusk or Dark or Dawn or Day, also by Seanan McGuire. Ghosts. So far pretty good. Next up is My Grandmother Told Me to Tell You She's Sorry by Fredrick Bachmann. It has a lot of the same characters as Britt Marie Was Here. Grandmother died of cancer.
And while I was typing this I realized I just finished Origin in Death by J.D. Robb. Yep, a murder mystery. Geez, I need some cheerful reading.
The Cherry Blossom Festival is in full swing. Yesterday was Kite Day on the Mall. We could have used a little more wind, but all those kites were so pretty!
And it's April Fool's Day. No mean tricks today please. Let's play nice.
