I've been reading a lot - my favorite tranquilizer. I read two funny books by Maia Chance. Come Hell or Highball and Teetotalled feature a suddenly penniless society dame and her cook who decide to open a PI agency. Hijinks ensue. The stories are set in the flapper era, where dropwaist dresses, bobs, and thinness are in. I'll definitely look for the third book in the series.
