Georgetown rambles
Jan. 14th, 2012 01:22 pmI was down by the Potomac River again today. The weather was freezing cold but pretty clear.
The Swedish Embassy is just where Georgetown meets Foggy Bottom. Very Scandinavian, all glass and clean angles, except for what looked like a little toolshed.

It was so incongruous, I had to take a closer look. They must count on that reaction, because it's actually a little art installation. The inside is set up as a dollhouse. The riverside sundial is visible through the window.
I watched a few other people climb up the slight hill to take a look. It's absolutely charming. People walked away with bemused smiles on their faces.
