Dec. 15th, 2011 04:18 pmThe local news has a segment called Ask the Weather Guys where the weather guys answer questions unrelated to weather. They seem to rely on Wikipedia to a disconcerting extent but it's still fun. A viewer asked why the English say Happy Christmas instead of Merry Christmas. After discussions of German traditions and Charles Dickens, they decided that "merry" means a bit tipsy and they didn't want to go around wishing people a boozy Christmas. Well, okay then, weather guys.
The local Safeway is selling Pepperidge Farm's version of TimTams. Chocolate frosted double layer chocolate cookies with a hint of maltedness. Eleven in the box, each with its own compartment. I may have eaten the entire box at one sitting. I have to watch that or I will end up looking like my two friends here. But not so tall.
