Tuesday evening we took our visiting India colleague to the Washington Nationals baseball game. She was baffled but enjoyed it. Also all the junk food we forced on her. Pizza, ice cream, and of course Cracker Jacks. It was free T-shirt night and I got her a baseball cap.

Wednesday evening we celebrated my sister's birthday. We found a great new restaurant that reminds us a lot of the beach. I had fried pickles (which was every bit as disgusting as it sounds), and appetizers that included alligator, crabcakes, oysters and hush puppies. Eveyone's dinner was pretty much seafood-themed, except for me - I had pulled pork. Yum. Other Sister brought a nice chocolate cake. A good time was had by all.
Today I got some excellent news. Not only did I not lose my job in the layoffs, I am getting a little bonus for the successful launch of the new website. I am feeling a little more financially secure about the decision to go to Moonridge. :)
