It was raining this morning as I headed out to the bus stop. I had a longer than usual wait and really all I could think was that I wanted to go back to bed. Then I heard a familiar ckk-ckk-ckk. There was a beautiful cardinal sitting in the hedge. A nice little spot of red in a gray day.
