Nov. 6th, 2006 05:07 pmThe last few days have been very clear, if rather chilly. Instead of reading on the bus, I've been admiring the autumn leaves. They are just slightly past peak, so there are some impressive crimsons, yellows, and burnt-orange. I like the way the sun makes them sparkle, though on cloudy days, the color stands out a bit better.
My non-NaNoWriMo project is proceeding well. I've started adding the recipes I used all summer. This isn't a new-style thing for me, though it's the most elaborate. I put together a scrapbook for the PPP and of course my Moonridge photo books are things of beauty. This will take an honored place alongside those. I started doing more detailed photo albums after my second visit to the Grand Canyon. For that one, I put in a lot of historical and geological details as well as my impressions and my pictures. That one is in longhand, though. God bless computers.
Over the weekend they started putting up the Christmas tree at the local mall. Always cracks me up to watch the process:
