Project Runway is my favorite guilty pleasure. I watch the bonus videos, listen to Tim Gunn's podcasts, everything. I was pleased that the Washington Post had a long article about the taping of the finale on the front page of the Style section on Sunday.

They also summed up Fashion Week. It's hard even for established designers to turn out a good line every year. They had some harsh words for some well known names.

what's happening with the NIFF auction item

In early August, Richard's management told me the visit was absolutely happening, though it might not be on a date he was actually shooting. I gave them some dates that worked for me.

Never heard from them. Wrote them on September 1, told them I needed a firm plan to either have the visit or a firm plan to return the money. I needed it within 2 weeks.

Neither NIFF not Richard's management wrote back. Zippo, nadda, zilch. In the meantime, the RBFC had postings on Richard's shooting schedule on DH. On the 15th, I sent them a polite email chastising them for their lack of courtesy, their lack of care with Richard's reputation and setting a firm date for return of the money, after which I would "immediately move to use all available remedies."

What a surprise - they both wrote back. Blah, blah, blah, tough to schedule, blah blah blah here's three possible dates, any of them work for you?

So it might actually be back on. I'm not exactly holding my breath.

The problem is they've given me too much time to think about it. And some of those thoughts have been black indeed. I'm feeling a little jerked around. The other problem is that this was intended as a birthday present for one sister. She got fed up with waiting and has used her vacation time for a trip to NY instead.

If it falls through again, I'm getting a bottle of ketchup and feeding them to the wolves. Or the dragon
