And in other news

Desperate Housewives:

Brief quote from Richard and a nice color pic of him with Edie. The paper version is slightly larger but it's in black and white.
Serenity
Mixed reviews so far. USA Today slammed it, calling the TV series a flop and the movie scifi silliness. Washington Post was mixed. Maybe, but the advertising campaign (and my housemate's DVDs) convinced me to see it.
House vs Commander in Chief
The Post had a long piece about the demographics on who watches which show. By their reckoning I should be all over CinC. House beat out CinC in the DC area (big surprise - we get the real thing, I'm not gonna watch a fictionalized version)(though, Kyle Secor? maybeso, while baseball preempts House the next two weeks). People in DC are interested in "strange terminal diseases." Overall, women preferred to watch CinC, Men went with House. House won the 19-49 demographic and the teens. The Post described Hugh Laurie as a "dysfunctionally cynical, completely rumpled, and yet somehow hot and brilliant doctor." Maybe I'm really a teenaged male? Maybe I'm just into hot and brilliant doctors?
And finally, that woman who said she talked herself out of a hostage situation by prayer and reference to The Purpose-Driven Life? In her book, admits she gave the guy crystal meth. Hypocrite much, lady? Or just trying to sell a book? Gee, I always keep crystal meth on hand for the occasional hostage taker. Maybe Blair needs a supply of crystal meth for the occasional hostage taker. I can just see him explaining THAT to Jim.
Work is a bit on the bitchy side today. Maybe that's why I'm snarking.
I mailed my donations to Wolfpup today. I have Sentinel toys to look forward to!
