This is an actual memo a friend wrote to defend the use of the hyphen. She works for a law firm.

admiralandrea wrote a little story that has people worshipping at the shrine of cut-offs. Seemed to me I remembered a couple of stories that might hold us until she writes the sequel. ( These are definitely slash, folks )
