Some idle musing about the con
Mar. 4th, 2005 05:21 pmI concentrated so hard on getting my report written up. Now I have time to sit and think and ponder about the con. Two things really struck me as a testament to the appeal and staying power of the show and its stars. One was the multinational nature of its current audience. There were participants from New Zealand, Great Britain and Ireland, France, Italy, Canada, as well as all over the US. The other was the surprising number of participants who had not seen the show in first run (kind of goes along with the international fans). They came to it through syndication. I know that surprised Danny and Paul, too. That these folks all shelled out time and money and flew long distances is just remarkable to me and a real tribute to the show.
