Did I mention to you that I'm reading Tom Rob Smith's Agent 6? The story begins in Soviet Russia in the 1950s and goes forward from there. It's apparently the third in a series using the same protagonist.

I'm enjoying it, though the prose reads like something translated from a Soviet propaganda leaflet--not in content, but in grammar and syntax. It's almost hypnotic, after a while. The plotting and scenecraft are excellent, and the characters are well-drawn, when we get to see far enough past their good little Soviet shells. Don't know if I'd get another one of these or not, but it's a nice break from my steady diet of British murder mysteries.
