Rise of the SmartPower Class

I went to this class last night on social media. Moderately interesting - it was mostly about how interconnectedness and the information age are creating a new social class. It reminded me of Robert Heinlein's "I don't have to know everything, I just have to know where to look it up" and John Brunner's horror at that idea. I read too much science fiction.

Someone left some donuts on the windowsill outside the meeting room. The birds were only marginally less interesting than the speaker:

I'm falling behind in the whole smartpower class thing because I have a stupid telephone. Apparently our telephones are our new brains - who knew?
