Top Chef continues to disappoint
The baby food challenge could have been really cool. But the winning dish would never have passed muster. Licorice is just too strong a flavor for babies. You have to start them out with bland (to adults). And babies are typically at least six months old before you introduce solids.
Sister 1's husband trained as a chef. I had dinner with them where he made fish for the adults and the 4 year old, sliced tomatoes that everyone could eat, and a nice cheese sauce. As an inducement to the kids, we all ate it on monsterface pasta. The 18 month old loved it. Now that would be a challenge. Assemble a plate that adults and toddlers can love.
The room service challenge was really confusing. The best chefs were eliminated early and the final three who lost the first two rounds competed for European vacations?!? weird.
