Saturday evening the family celebrated my nephew Greg's birthday. He's 18! I remember seeing him the day he was born. Now he's been admitted to the college of his choice. So happy birthday Greg! Don't spend all your loot in just one place.

My 4 year old nephew Tyler had a blast at the party. I showed him how to take pictures with the digital camera. He grasped the concept pretty quickly, once he figured out that whole pesky thumb-in-front-of-the-lens thing. He had fun taking photos then running off to show his victim how he did.

So the Canon Powershot 540 gets my kid-friendly vote.

Doctor Who

was really excellent Friday night. Amazing how creepy those gas masks were. I liked the ending a lot. I liked Captain Jack's martini, and the Doctor rescuing him. I especially liked the Doctor dancing with Rose:

"I think the captain wanted to cut in."
